The High Priests of War by Michael Collins Piper
English | ISBN: 0974548413 | 2004 | PDF | 147 pages | 3,2 mb
After reading Final Judgment, I jokingly commented to an acquaintance, "Michael Collins Piper has ruined any further JFK research on my part because, compared to his book, everything else seems like child's play." Well, the same rationale now applies to the mainstream media's coverage of the men who are orchestrating our war in Iraq.
Kenneth D. Wald, "The Foundations of American Jewish Liberalism "
English | ISBN: 1108497896 | 2019 | 270 pages | PDF | 56 MB
American Jews have built a political culture based on the principle of equal citizenship in a secular state. This durable worldview has guided their political behavior from the founding to the present day. In The Foundations of American Jewish Liberalism, Kenneth D. Wald traces the development of this culture by examining the controversies and threats that stimulated political participation by American Jews. Wald shows that the American political environment, permeated by classic liberal values, produced a Jewish community that differs politically from non-Jews who resemble Jews socially and from Jewish communities abroad. Drawing on survey data and extensive archival research, the book examines the ups and downs of Jewish attachment to liberalism and the Democratic Party and the tensions between two distinct strains of liberalism.
The Feeling Economy: How Artificial Intelligence Is Creating the Era of Empathy by Roland T. Rust
English | PDF | 2021 | 185 Pages | ISBN : 3030529762 | 2.3 MB
As machines are trained to "think," many tasks that previously required human intelligence are becoming automated through artificial intelligence. However, it is more difficult to automate emotional intelligence, and this is where the human worker's competitive advantage over machines currently lies. This book explores the impact of AI on everyday life, looking into workers' adaptation to these changes, the ways in which managers can change the nature of jobs in light of AI developments, and the potential for humans and AI to continue working together.

English | ISBN: 0195331400 | 2021 | 544 pages | PDF | 25 MB
In the late summer and fall of 1777, after two years of indecisive fighting on both sides, the outcome of the American War of Independence hung in the balance. Having successfully expelled the Americans from Canada in 1776, the British were determined to end the rebellion the following year and devised what they believed a war-winning strategy, sending General John Burgoyne south to rout the Americans and take Albany. When British forces captured Fort Ticonderoga with unexpected ease in July of 1777, it looked as if it was a matter of time before they would break the rebellion in the North. Less than three and a half months later, however, a combination of the Continental Army and Militia forces, commanded by Major General Horatio Gates and inspired by the heroics of Benedict Arnold, forced Burgoyne to surrender his entire army. The American victory stunned the world and changed the course of the war.
