Signs In The Heavens and On The Earth Man's Days are Numbered...and he is Measured
Douglas W. Krieger, S Douglas Woodward, "Signs In The Heavens and On The Earth: Man's Days are Numbered...and he is Measured"
English | 2015 | ISBN: 1514131137 | ASIN: B0879HBHPK | EPUB | pages: 484 | 15.0 mb
This fourth edition of SIGNS IN THE HEAVENS & ON THE EARTH...Man's Days Are Numbered and He Is Measured has added to its title: He Is Measured - in that the entire text subjectively incorporates the dimensions of Paradise to be that of the Bride of Messiah comprised of both the Divine and the human in eternal bliss but measured as a Holy City: "Come, I will show you the Woman, the Lamb's Bride . . . And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem" (Rev. 21:9-10). . . "And he who talked with me had a gold reed [the Hebrew "reed" or "rod" is some 12.6 ft.] to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. The city is laid out a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal. Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel" (Rev. 21:9-10, 15-17).Ancient measurements and/or units of measure are comprised, in essence, of numbers. They proportionately reflect the primary dimensions of earth, the moon and the sun-and even the grandeur of the universe. Metrology is the science of measurement and/or dimension. We affirm that there is, as discovered by the ancients, a "code of number" which repeatedly replicates itself in ratio and/or in direct proportion within astronomy, mathematics-geometry, music, a multitude of ancient monuments and, in particular, biblical objects, chemistry, the arts and even the social order as was the case with Plato's discourse regarding Optimal Societal Harmony relative to his ideal Magnesia, juxtaposed to the antithesis of harmony and universal equilibrium, Atlantis. As Magnesia is to the New Jerusalem, so is Babylon the Great to that of Atlantis. There is either "order in the universe" as seen in the "Dimensions of Paradise"-i.e., the Holy City of Ezekiel and the Holy City, New Jerusalem or there is "chaos" - the City of Confusion is ultimately the City of Destruction and Desolation. It is our stalwart conviction that the triumph of good over evil is the highest expression of humanity's original design and is, therefore, the providential will of the Creator to effect both the recovery and the prosperity of His original intent that man-male and female-shall partake of the Tree of Life and by so doing fulfill the Divine Design to be in relationship with the Creator in fullness. This book sets out on a "dimensional journey" which has greatly expanded over its original cover some 40,000 words in taking the supreme measurements throughout antiquity, along with those chronological and dimensional mysteries embedded in Holy Writ-especially those surrounding the "times and seasons" of the Son of Man-and woven them into a persistent pattern from the Garden to Paradise as the supreme and absolute means of the Creator in communicating to us the Divine Intention of the Ages in preparing the pinnacle of His creation, man, to be His ultimate reflection in eternal relationship with the Creator of the Universe.Without equivocation-this writing is both prophetically and numerically challenging. It surfaced not in the category of theology/eschatology but in measurement/mensuration (geometric dimensions). It became the #1 best seller outside the bounds of religiosity-however, its greatest contribution to Christianity is its absolute manipulation of the Judeo-Christian use of "number" be it in "times and seasons" - chronologies, divinely designed objects like Noah's Ark, the Ark of the Covenant, Tabernacles and Temples - eventually, the "numbers" demand a "multidimensional" comprehension of the Holy City, Jerusalem, such as Ezekiel's Vision of the Holy District and John the Beloved's view of the New Jerusalem; and finally, in the precision of number found in eschatology. You will never read the Book of books again the same way-it will mathematically & dimensionally come alive!

Science and Religion Around the World
John Hedley Brooke, "Science and Religion Around the World"
English | ISBN: 0195328205 | 2011 | 336 pages | PDF | 1232 KB
The past quarter-century has seen an explosion of interest in the history of science and religion. But all too often the scholars writing it have focused their attention almost exclusively on the Christian experience, with only passing reference to other traditions of both science and faith. At a time when religious ignorance and misunderstanding have lethal consequences, such provincialism must be avoided and, in this pioneering effort to explore the historical relations of what we now call "science" and "religion," the authors go beyond the Abrahamic traditions to examine the way nature has been understood and manipulated in regions as diverse as ancient China, India, and sub-Saharan Africa. Science and Religion around the World also provides authoritative discussions of science in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam - as well as an exploration of the relationship between science and the loss of religious beliefs. The narratives included in this book demonstrate the value of

Santa Clarita Valley
John Boston, Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society, "Santa Clarita Valley"
English | 2009 | ISBN: 0738569380, 1531645623 | EPUB | pages: 128 | 42.9 mb
A trade crossroads dating back to Native American times, Santa Clarita may be relatively new in the story of Los Angeles County's suburban sprawl, but old-timers also recall it as the "Navel of the Universe." A Chinese general once declared the Santa Clarita Valley one of the top 10 military targets on Earth. Located east of the Ventura County line where the valley creates a break in the Angeles National Forest, Santa Clarita has been home to cowboys, movie stars, farmers, and pistol fighters. With a diverse population of 250,000 today, the Santa Clarita Valley still boasts an eclectic heritage. The West's first major oil refinery is located here. The ground was bloodied by at least 21 deaths in one of America's last and greatest range wars. And local lore has maintained that the world's largest grizzly bear, weighing more than a ton, was shot here.

Retention of Bioactives in Food Processing
Retention of Bioactives in Food Processing
English | 2022 | ISBN: 3030968847 | 610 Pages | PDF (True) | 19 MB
Bioactive compounds in food, known for their positive health effects, can be lost during handling after harvest, processing and storage. While most foods are exposed to processing to increase shelf life and edibility and to ensure microbial safety, conventional processing methods may have disadvantages, such as decreasing the nutritional quality of foods, long processing times, high temperature and high energy uses. For these reasons, novel non-thermal food processing technologies (including HPP, ultrasound) and novel thermal food processing technologies (including microwave/Ohmic heating) have become widespread.
