Supercharged Seventies Synth
Soundiron's Granada 49 is a vintage 49-key analog synth from the 1970s. This early portable synthesizer was originally manufactured by Fesma, a little-known and now-defunct Italian organ maker. Rare and highly sought-after, little is known about the origins of this instrument, though the instrument's classic wooden exterior echoes the popular aesthetics of the 1970s and early 1980s, during which time the instrument is thought to be produced. We've faithfully captured this rare instrument and have programmed it into a flexible, intuitive and creatively expressive virtual instrument for Reason Rack Extension format by Propellerhead Software.

The Emotional Piano Rack Extension is a custom-built version of Soundiron's legendary virtual grand piano designed for Reason. This deeply sampled walnut bodied grand piano library has a deep, warm and ponderous sound absolutely perfect for profoundly emotive songwriting and deep, brooding underscores. We focused on capturing the exceptionally wide, resonant warmth and velvety softness of a gorgeous Kawai grand to capture just the right character. The sound of a piano is defined by a thousand things, from the lacquer on the wood to the hardness of the hammer felts. Our goal was to find the softest, deepest, most resonant, rich, lush, warm and truly soulful sound we could imagine in a grand piano - a sound to express our hearts and souls with. You'll find it perfectly captured here, in the Emotional Piano.

Torsion is a granular audio device. Samples are played back in small segments called grains. Many grains can play back at the same time, each with its own snapshot of parameters. This simple mechanism can create complex and psychedelic sounds including drone synthesis, stutters, glitches, reverbs, pitch smearing, time smearing, chord generation, texture clouds, sonic bursting, and many sounds that are too strange to be named.
There are 3 grain engines and 6 user audio samples. Each grain engine can use any of the 6 samples. Each grain engine also has a dedicated loop LFO that is used to loop over samples. Torsion has 6 Stereo LFOs, 3 Stereo Drift Modulators, 3 Stereo Noise Modulators, and a 32 point Modulation Matrix.
