On 4th February, Gabriel & Dresden deliver the seventeenth mix in the series. We love Gabriel & Dresden. Their music inspired us and their remixes changed our map. Their first album was a masterpiece of bleeding-heart indie-electro that pulsed with the rarest thing in our scene: a clear and compelling personality. We all played the hell out of their tracks. Their phenomenal second Anjunabeats album, Remedy, was released just as the world entered lockdown. While many quite rightly bemoaned the unfairness of it all, Dave and Josh went to work doing what they do best: connecting people. The supportive, optimistic and diverse community they have built around Club Quarantine on Twitch is, perhaps, their greatest work to date.

On March 25, Daniel Kandi delivers the 20th mix in the 20 Years Of Anjunabeats series. Since we started this series of celebration mixes, one name has kept cropping up in the comment section. If you were at an Anjunabeats event anytime between the years 2005 and 2012, youd have lost some time drenched in the euphoric and uplifting sound of Daniel Kandi. His records are seemingly designed to evoke the widest of smiles. Anjunabeats was the first label to believe in me. I produced Breathe on my old Pioneer Powerbass soundsystem. I got an email from Jono to say they were interested in the track. Later while I was at a concert, my phone suddenly started blowing up. Jono had premiered the track on Trance Around The World. The rest is history. Thanks Jono, Tony and Paavo, for the chance, and opening up my world.

Its everything that we love about the progressive trance sound of that era and became a cornerstone of our DJ sets. The boundless positivity, acceptance, inclusivity that this community, music offers constantly reminds me how grateful I am to have found it years ago.
