Hello all,My name is Jan Verhulst.I live a happy and balanced life - run a business - work for clients - maintain multiple hobbies and am able to be present for my wife and 3 kids. On top of that - I sleep at least 7 hours a day, I meditate, read books and exercise AND I have watched all the must-watches on Netflix and the likes.I often get the question "where the hell do you find the time to do all that?".Well, about 20 years ago I read 'Getting Things Done by David Allen, THE productivity book at the time. That system didn't quite work for me but I liked the idea of having "a productivity system". Some kind of habit routine that would unlock higher levels of productivity. I understood from an early age that time is our most valuable asset.There are quite a few of those systems out there. I tried them all, read all the books, and no system really worked for me. Sometimes I got fed up with productivity systems (especially after reading Oliver Burkmann's "4000 weeks") and I just did nothing for weeks on end. That was also enjoyable, but obviously not sustainable.It's very hard to stay focused in a world that is always trying to pull our attention away.So I ventured out and created my own system - taking the best elements from all the books I read and programs I followed. I made something that I thought was very specific to me.My system involves the use of these Duplo bricks that I shamelessly stole from the kids and when someone enters my office - I of course get asked about the pile of Duplo bricks on my desk.So I explain it - and I see people light up. Some of them asked me to teach them the method I'm using. And I found out that it's not as individual and tailored to my own needs as I thought.In fact, it's the opposite - it proves exceptionally helpful for busy entrepreneurs with families.After 2 successful course runs - I decided to take this course to Udemy.
